Sorry about that! But the point has to be made.
We all go around wishing each other a "Good Day", a "Good Night", a "Happy Birthday", a "Happy New Year" and so on and so on.
And we wish for ourselves to be more happy, better comminicators, more articulate, more successful, better spellers!
And we all over look the Greatest Gift that was given to us. We get that Wonderful Gift renewed each and every day.
It doesn't matter what you believe in. It doesn't matter who or what you trust the most.
There is one fact that nobody can deny. It's the fact that each day, each and every day will happen just once.
It has all the possibilities of being the single most important day of your life.
The truth is, each and every day Is The Most Important Day of your life.
You cannot live in yesterday.
Oh sure, if you prefer regret, disappointment, anger, resentment stay in the past.
But you cannot go back and change even the smallest detail about it.
That's why it's so important that you Get It Right.
Or if you prefer anxiety, dread, fear try to live for tomorrow.
But if you want to make the most of your life that you can, you can only do it Today!
It is the Greatst Gift of All and that is why it's called the Present!
So what are you going to do with your wonderful present?
Hopefully, you don't waste it away wishing for something instead of taking action. Because there is only one time for you to take action and that's now!
Now is all we have. That's exactly the point we're making here. If you are going to be better at anything, you have to get better at it today.
If you are going to master your chosen field of endeavour, you must do it Today!
After all, what are you saving yourself for? Don't hold back! Just be all that you can be and then push it a little farther.
I used to smoke cigarettes. I was a quitter. I was going to quit smoking tomorrow for 45 years. 45 years!
Finally, I woke up to this simple secret that I am trying to give you now. I realized that the only way for me to stop smoking was to stop Today!
That's been 3 years ago today. 01/01/07 was my first day as a non-smoker. It wasn't a new years resolution. It was simply that, that was the day that I realized that there is only one way for me to quit smoking, I had to do it Today!
It goes the same for everything else too. If you want to be a master of _______________(fill in the blank), you can only do it by doing it Today!
So how do you process your past so that it doesn't continue to haunt you? Remember, I said we would discuss that some more?
There have been many books written, entire sciences devoted to just such an issue.
I could offer you a number of books that deals with it and make enough money off of you to buy my own _______________.
Actually I thought I would just give you some of the short answers, the ones that have helped me the most.
I've already pointed your thinking in the right direction.
What it really comes down to is, it's all about YOU!
You only have to change one thing! And that's Everything!
I'm not saying that you have to change everything.
I am saying that by changing this one thing only, you do change everything.
The one thing you have to change is your thinking.
Your entire thinking process will change once you make the decission.
You know you've seen evidence of other peoples change.
How many times have you read the little clichés?
- One Day At A Time
- Let Go, Let God
- Attitude Is Everything
- There's no time like the present
- Today is the first day of the rest of your life
The list could go on and on, but you get the point.
Other people have made the decission too!
And when they did, it was like they had that little light bulb flash in their head with a New Great idea.
And they took action on it!
All you have to do is make the conscious decission that you are going to be or do whatever it is that you filled in that line with.
And then you have to take action on it. And you have to do it Today!
Not tomorrow! Tomorrow could take 45 years to get here.
Don't let that happen to you!
You Want The Life You Deserve!
And You Deserve The Life You Want!
It's All Up To You Now!
All you have to do now is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you.
May your choices All Be Wise!
sincerely,
Scott Anson
